NPC Bots (Hireable NPCs)

The main thing to remember is that they are not permanent.

• Once they are gone, you will need to hire them again

NPC Bots are generally useful for:

• Filling missing roles such as tank, healer, or DPS

• Running dungeons when there are not enough players online

• Making early and mid-game progression a bit easier

They are quite useful for what they are, but their AI is not perfect. They can handle most basic situations reasonably well, although you should not expect them to react exactly like a real player.

Playerbots (Your Characters as Bots)

Playerbots are a bit different and are more focused on long-term use.

Instead of hiring an NPC, Playerbots allow you to use your own characters as AI-controlled players.

For example, if you have several characters on your account, you can use those characters as part of your own group instead of relying only on hireable NPC Bots.

The biggest differences are:

• They do not expire

• They are permanent

• They are connected to your own characters and account

Because of this, Playerbots are more suitable if you want to build your own group and maintain it over time.

They are useful for things such as:

• Building your own dungeon party

• Creating a larger group for more difficult content

• Farming more efficiently

• Preparing specific classes and roles for your group

• Having more control over how your party is set up

Playerbots generally require more preparation compared to NPC Bots, since you are using your own characters and will need to maintain them properly.

Important Thing for Both Systems

One important thing that applies to both NPC Bots and Playerbots is gear.

Both systems depend heavily on the equipment you give them.

If the bot is poorly geared, its performance will also be poor. Having a bot does not automatically mean you get a strong character without putting any effort into it.

You will still need to:

• Farm equipment

• Upgrade their gear as you progress

• Pay attention to their stats and builds

• Prepare them properly for the content you want to run

Basically, you should treat them similarly to how you would treat a normal character in your party.

Simple Comparison

NPC Bots are better if you want quick and temporary assistance without having to prepare multiple characters.

Playerbots are better if you want a permanent setup using your own characters and are willing to spend more time preparing and maintaining them.

Which One Should You Use?

NPC Bots are probably the better choice if you:
